Wildfire in Los Angeles County Forces Evacuations
Evacuations and Road Closures
The fire was reported around 145 pm Saturday near Ralphs Ranch and Gorman School Roads close to the Golden State 5 Freeway. Authorities evacuated at least 1,200 people on Saturday as the wildfire in Los Angeles County spread over thousands of acres. Strong winds pushed flames through dry brush in the mountains along Interstate 5 north of Los Angeles on Sunday.
Post Fire
The fire, which has been named the Post Fire, started just after 145 pm near Gorman Road and the southbound I-5 Freeway. Southern California's Post Fire erupted Saturday afternoon near I-5 in Gorman, approximately 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
