Boehly Believes Pochettino Is The Right Man To Take Chelsea Forward After Falling Out With Thomas Tuchel

Chelsea Owner Todd Boehly Targets Mauricio Pochettino As Thomas Tuchel's Replacement

Boehly believes Pochettino is the right man to take Chelsea forward after falling out with Thomas Tuchel.

Amid Champions League disappointment, Todd Boehly has set his sights on former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino as the man to replace Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.

Pochettino, 52, has been out of work since leaving Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022. During his time at PSG, Pochettino won the Ligue 1 title but failed to deliver the Champions League trophy that the club's Qatari owners crave.

Despite his lack of success in Europe, Pochettino is still highly regarded by many in the game. He is seen as a manager who can get the best out of young players and who plays an attractive brand of football.

Boehly is believed to be a big admirer of Pochettino and believes he is the right man to take Chelsea forward after a disappointing season. The Blues finished third in the Premier League and were knocked out of the Champions League in the quarter-finals under Tuchel.

Pochettino is said to be interested in the Chelsea job and is believed to be keen on a return to the Premier League. He has previously managed Southampton and Tottenham in England and knows the league well.

If Pochettino does take over at Chelsea, he will be tasked with leading the club back to the top of English and European football. The Blues have not won the Premier League title since 2017 and have not won the Champions League since 2012.
